Dar Al-Handasah (Shair and Partners) in Bengaluru seeks a senior structural engineer with 8+ years’ core design experience in steel structures to lead a team of engineers and technicians, deliver quality drawings, and ensure adherence to international codes.

Responsibilities include design analysis using SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD-Pro, and Ram Connection, preparing specifications and BOQs, attending client meetings, mentoring juniors, and coordinating resources for timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of core design experience, primarily in steel structures.
• Experience with international codes and standards.
• Proven ability to lead a team and deliver quality drawings and documents.

• Lead a team of engineers and technicians to deliver structural drawings and documents.
• Attend client meetings, defend structural design, and prepare design criteria reports.
• Coordinate resources and estimate scope to meet project deadlines.
• Prepare specifications, reports and presentations, including BOQs.

Experience Range: 8+ years

Qualification: Bachelor of Civil Engineering/ Technology / Masters in Structural Engineering

• Experience in analysis design of steel frames/components in buildings like high-rises, stadiums, pedestrian bridges, airports, malls, industrial sheds etc.
• Knowledge of international Codes and Standards
• Understanding of loads & load paths
• Able to handle proposals, prepare scope documentation.
• Attend Client meetings, defend structural design.
• Ability to delegate and lead a team of engineers and technicians to deliver quality drawings and documents.
• Ability to estimate, plan and deploy resources to match project requirements to meet deadlines.
• Aware of quality procedures
• Preparation of Specifications, technical reports & presentations
• Preparation of Bill of Quantities
• Prepare Design criteria reports, presentations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English.
• Should be open for short travel and deputation to other countries/offices, when required.
• Technical report writing skills.
• Construction site experience will be an added advantage.
• Ability to anticipate Architectural, MEP requirements and plan structure system accordingly avoiding abortive works.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve structural engineering problems encountered during design process.
• Provide mentorship for freshers/ juniors.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends.

Requirements

• Candidate should have core design experience of 8+ years, majority in steel structures.
• Experience of using software like SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD-Pro, Idea Statica, Ram connection, Limcon etc.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD
• Work experience in Gulf countries with international codes preferred.
