Job summary

Hyosung T&D India Private Limited in Site, Gujarat, India is seeking a seasoned Civil Quality Engineer to implement and maintain the project quality management system for STATCOM civil works.

You will ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and client requirements, and drive QA documentation, inspections and audits across the site. 5–10 years of relevant experience and a BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Civil are required for this role.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech (Civil) or Diploma in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
• 5–10 years experience in civil and quality management for project sites.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain QMS for STATCOM substation civil works.
• Ensure civil construction activities comply with drawings, specs, client requirements and standards.
• Prepare, review, and implement ITPs, Method Statements, and QA Procedures.
• Coordinate with client, consultant and third-party inspection agencies for inspections and approvals.
• Verify quality of incoming construction materials and MAR compliance.
• Monitor field and laboratory testing of construction materials.
• Identify NCRs, monitor CAPA and verify closure.
• Maintain quality records and project quality documentation.
• Support internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance with project quality objectives.
• Coordinate with construction, planning, engineering and HSE teams to integrate quality requirements.

Job Description

• Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS) for all civil works in the STATCOM substation project.
• Ensure civil construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, client requirements, applicable standards, and contract documents.
• Prepare, review, and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Assurance Procedures.
• Conduct inspections of civil works, including excavation, reinforcement, formwork, concreting, masonry, structural steel, roads, drainage, cable trenches, and finishing works.
• Coordinate with the client, consultant, and third-party inspection agencies for inspections and approvals.
• Verify the quality of incoming construction materials and ensure compliance with approved Material Approval Requests (MARs).
• Monitor field and laboratory testing of construction materials such as concrete, cement, aggregates, steel reinforcement, soil, and backfilling materials.
• Identify non-conformities (NCRs), monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and verify effective closure.
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test reports, and project quality documentation.
• Support internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance with project quality objectives.
• Coordinate with construction, planning, engineering, and HSE teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated into project execution.
