Job summary

Hyosung T& D India Pvt Ltd in Site, Maharashtra, is seeking a Senior Engineer - (Statcom Quality) to implement and maintain the QMS for civil works in the STATCOM substation project. You will ensure construction aligns with drawings, standards, and client requirements, and drive QA through ITPs, MARs and CAPA processes.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech (Civil) or Diploma in Civil Engg with relevant 5+ years experience.
• Experience in civil construction quality management for substations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS) for all civil works in the STATCOM substation project.
• Ensure civil construction activities comply with drawings, specs, client requirements and standards.
• Prepare, review, and implement ITPs, Method Statements, and QA Procedures.
• Conduct inspections of civil works including excavation, reinforcement, formwork, concreting, masonry, steel, roads, drainage, trenches and finishing works.
• Coordinate with client, consultant, and third-party inspection agencies for inspections and approvals.
• Verify quality of incoming materials and MARs, monitor field and lab testing, identify NCRs and CAPA closures.
• Maintain quality records, inspection/test reports and project quality documentation.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with project quality objectives.
• Coordinate with construction, planning, engineering, and HSE teams to integrate quality requirements into project execution.
• Prepare and submit quality dossiers, as-built records and handover documentation.

Job Description

• Coordinate with the client, consultant, and third-party inspection agencies for inspections and approvals.
• Verify the quality of incoming construction materials and ensure compliance with approved Material Approval Requests (MARs).
• Monitor field and laboratory testing of construction materials such as concrete, cement, aggregates, steel reinforcement, soil, and backfilling materials.
• Identify non-conformities (NCRs), monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and verify effective closure.
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test reports, and project quality documentation.
• Support internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance with project quality objectives.
