Job summary

Landis+Gyr is seeking an automation tester with 4–6 years of software testing experience. The role requires hands-on work with Robot Framework, Python, Selenium, and SQL on Unix/Windows.

You will develop and execute test plans, write test cases, and analyze results while tracking defects in an agile Scrum environment. Exposure to metering is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in software testing.
• Exposure to Metering is an added advantage.
• Hands-on automation testing using Robot Framework, Python and Selenium is desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans using technical requirements and design specifications as input.
• Write test cases and execute them.
• Analyse test results, perform data validation, track defects and provide regular status updates.
• Analyse, troubleshoot and execute testing activities in Unix/Windows environments; dig into logs to troubleshoot.
• Write and execute medium-to-complex SQL queries and perform data validation across databases.
• Use automation frameworks and programming languages like Java, Python, and Selenium to test backend, frontend, and database components.
• Document installation instructions and provide technical support; manage defects and verification within Scrum.

Key Purpose of Role:

The role requires testing in a fast-paced, time-sensitive project, switching between tasks, and following the work plan to meet project milestones.

• To develop and execute test plans using technical requirements and design specifications as input.


• To write test cases and execute them.


• To analyse test results, perform data validation, track defects and provide regular status updates.


• To analyse, troubleshoot and execute testing activities in Unix/Windows environment. Should be hands-on on Unix/Windows-related systems and be able to dig into logs to troubleshoot.


• Writing and executing medium-level to complex-level SQL queries.


• To use different techniques while performing testing tasks related to the database, backend processes and front-end applications.


• Well-versed with automation frameworks and hands-on with automation programming like Java, Python, and Selenium.


• Documentation of installation instructions and providing technical support are also required.
