Key Purpose of Role
The role requires testing in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive project, switching between tasks, and following the work plan to meet project milestones.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
- Good – Robot Framework & Python
- Good – SQL database
- Selenium
- To develop and execute test plans using technical requirements and design specifications as input.
- To write test cases and execute them.
- To analyse test results, perform data validation, track defects and provide regular status updates.
- To analyse, troubleshoot and execute testing activities in Unix/Windows environment. Hands‑on on Unix/Windows‑related systems and be able to dig into logs.
- Writing and executing medium‑level to complex‑level SQL queries.
- To use different techniques while performing testing tasks related to the database, backend processes and front‑end applications.
- Well‑versed with automation frameworks and hands‑on with automation programming like Java, Python, and Selenium.
- Documentation of installation instructions and providing technical support are also required.
- To work on Scrum methodologies.
- To identify the quality KPIs and ensure compliance at each stage.
- Testing methodologies.
- Software testing experience with Web, GUI, Database and Client/Server applications on multiple platforms.
- Experience with relational database (Preferably Oracle).
- Experience with testing Java/.Net based applications.
- Experience with Unix/Windows.
- Network, RF and Hardware Device Knowledge.
- Experience using defect management, source code management, and requirement management tools (TFS/ADO/JIRA, others).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent problem‑solving/troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Highly driven, positive attitude, team player, self‑learning, self‑motivating and flexibility.
- Flair for creativity and innovation.
Qualifications and Additional Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification – B. E, B. Tech, M. E, M. Tech.
- Exposure to metering is an added advantage.
- Experience 4 to 6 years.
