Job summary

GE Vernova's 7HA and 7F fleets require a Senior Engineer (Systems Integration Leader – SIL) to serve as the operability focal, delivering operability solutions and leading commissioning activities across Asia and EMEA.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, define CTQ metrics, support field issue resolution, and drive hardware/software corrective actions to optimize performance, start-up flexibility, and emissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in gas turbine combustion, controls, performance, or operability.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and lead across teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as single point of contact for commissioning activities in Asia and EMEA for 7HA and 7F platforms.
• Develop and maintain the Gas Turbine Operational Flexibility technical blueprint for installed-base and new units.
• Lead large cross-functional engineering teams to establish technical requirements meeting CTQ metrics and co-author Product Requirements Documents.
• Partner with Customer Service to support and lead field issue resolution for operability challenges.
• Proactively manage hardware design changes impact on system operability; implement corrective actions as required.
• Provide high-level communication to management on progress, milestones, and issues.
• Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure customer requirements are met.

Job Description Summary

As a key member of the 60Hz Gas Turbine Systems organization, the Senior Engineer (Systems Integration Leader – SIL) serves as the dedicated operability focal for the GE Vernova's 7HA and 7F fleet. This role is accountable for delivering Operability Solutions for gas turbines as part of a total plant system. The position requires a leader capable of managing commissioning activities, providing technical R&D and Requirements support, and ensuring optimized performance, start-up flexibility, emissions, and hardware durability for a rapidly growing regional fleet.

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact for commissioning activities in the Asia and EMEA regions, providing direct Requisition & R&D Operability support for the 7HA and 7F platforms.
• Develop and maintain the Gas Turbine Operational Flexibility technical blueprint for both installed-base and new unit 60Hz gas turbines.
• Lead large, cross-functional engineering teams to establish technical requirements that meet product Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) metrics and co-author Product Requirements Documents.
• Partner with Customer Service organizations to support and lead field issue resolution for gas turbine operability challenges.
• Proactively manage the interactions and impact of gas turbine hardware design changes on overall system operability; develop and lead the implementation of software or hardware corrective actions when required.
• Provide consistent, high-level communication to management regarding project progress, technical milestones, and critical issues.
• Establish and maintain robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and consistently achieved.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in gas turbine Combustion, Controls, Performance, or Operability.
• Execution: Proven ability to act as a self-starter, managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Desired Characteristics Proven ability to influence and lead at all levels of the organization and with external customers. Passion for delivering on commitments in a fast-paced, dynamic, and growth-oriented environment with a positive, solutions-focused approach.
