Job summary

GE Vernova in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced ITR Engineer to lead technical support across the spectrum of ITO and OTR, coordinating with cross-functional Engineering teams, Commercial and PMO to achieve critical business and project targets.

You will drive gas turbine upgrade solutions and CM&U activities, own wing-to-wing technical coordination, and provide robust support from inquiry to remittance, ensuring competitive proposals and successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
• 8+ years experience in engineering or field experience on gas turbines (strong GT experience expected).
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Define best Gas Turbine upgrade solutions, auxiliaries, and control systems to meet customer needs during the ITO phase.
• Own and manage CM&U conversions, modifications & upgrades on in-service GT power trains and BOP systems.
• Provide wing-to-wing technical support for proposals and projects from inquiry to remittance (ITR).
• Drive cost of quality reductions from CM&U opportunities.
• Develop and improve processes and analytical tools.
• Communicate project solutions to GE customers.
• Represent GE in user conferences and customer meetings.

Job Description Summary

The Gas Turbine Inquiry to Remittance (ITR) Engineer within Gas Power business is an Engineering position which leads many aspects of technical support across the spectrum of ITO and OTR to help commercialize and flawlessly execute customer solutions. The candidate will work closely with cross functional Engineering teams, Commercial and PMO to achieve critical business and project targets.

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for defining the best Gas Turbine upgrade solutions, auxiliaries, and control systems to fulfill customer technical needs during the ITO phase of a transaction on-time to the customer proposal need dates.
• Own and manage project and technical coordination for conversions, modifications & upgrades (CM&U), on in-service Gas Turbine Power Trains and their BOP Mechanical/Electrical systems.
• Responsible to provide wing to wing technical support for proposals and projects from inquiry to remittance (ITR).
• Responsible for driving cost of quality reductions resulting from the fulfillment of CM&U opportunities.
• Maintain an active role in developing and improving processes and analytical tools.
• Effectively communicate project solutions to internal and external GE customers.
• Represent the organization in user conferences, customer clarification meetings, and other industry communications.
• Possess a strong understanding of relevant markets and customer economic value that aid winning bid strategies.
• Possess a strong working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate GE in the market.
• Demonstrate autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework and lead other Individual Contributors.
• Resolve issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
• Work collaboratively with partnering teams, e.g. Sales, Commercial Operations, Product Line, Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, and Field Service and Project Management Office for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters to build winning solutions for our customers.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
