Job summary

OMRON Group in Chennai seeks a results-driven sales professional to drive business in Industrial Automation. You will develop new customers, manage channel partners and distributors, and coordinate with system integrators to expand our regional footprint.

The role requires 3–5 years in Industrial Automation, experience with OEMs, and strong presentation and negotiation skills, with travel across the region. Office-based in Chennai with travel expectations.

Qualifications

• B.E or Equivalent Diploma; MBA (in any stream) preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in Industrial Automation.
• Knowledge of PLC, Servo, HMI, Vision, Safety, Sensors.
• Experience with OEMs, EUs, Channel Partners, Direct Customers, System Integrators.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales and order booking targets in the assigned region by building business plans.
• Manage Channel Partners/Distributors and stake holders; handle credit terms in consultation with CMD.
• Maintain region/industry data; prepare MIS reports and update eCRM (GSFA/SFDC).

Short Description

Job Responsibilities

• 1. Business Generation: 60%
  • 1.1 Responsible to achieve sales and order booking targets in the assigned region
  • 1.2 Prepare and implement business plans monthly, quarterly and annually
  • 1.3 Create and execute account plans for all the customers and update on quarterly basis
  • 1.4 Develop new customers in the assigned region by using solution sales approach through customer visits/ calls
  • 1.5 Planning and forecasting of sales on monthly / quarterly and yearly basis for assigned customers
  • 1.6 Increase in-house business shares in existing customers
  • 1.7 Responsible for conducting Tech days/Seminars at key customers.
• 2. Partner management/ Stake holder management: 30%
  • 2.1 CP (Channel Partner) / System integrators / SOP (Solution partners)/ distributors management in consultation with Channel Management Department (CMD)
  • 2.2 Direct customer/CP Credit term, Credit limit control for the region in consultation with the CMD
  • 2.3 Develop & maintain good relationship with Customers and Channel Partners
• 3. Data Management and Analysis: 10%
  • 3.1 Maintain and analyse region and industry specific data as per business needs.
  • 3.2 Prepare various MIS reports, presentations, etc. as per requirements.
  • 3.3 eCRM hygiene and logging data in to GSFA (SFDC) and regularly updating the same.
