Job Description
As our new Senior Engineer – Roads you will be part of a world-class, innovation-driven engineering design centre owned by an independent trust and its employees. REC is a highly sophisticated centre of engineering excellence based at our India head office in Gurgaon. Working in partnership with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a centre for excellence in design, offering optimised solutions to the rest of the organisation.
Location: Gurugram / Noida / Hyderabad
Your key tasks and responsibilities
- Sound knowledge of geometric design of roads, 3D modelling etc.
- Good communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently and professionally with a diverse range of people.
- Willingness to learn new software/techniques.
- Managing small teams of junior engineers and CAD technicians.
- Focused on delivering quality and results.
- Proven ability to work collectively within a team environment.
- Software-driven person who loves to explore new commands and invest time in developing new tools.
- BIM competence, especially a good command of Navisworks or Infraworks is an added advantage.
- Knowledge and expertise in analysing, learning and discovering, documenting and reporting.
- Perform QA/QC by verifying design methodology, calculations, outcomes, etc.
- Preferably have exposure to projects in the UK/Nordic region.
Qualifications
- BE/B. Tech degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable institute; ME/M. Tech desired.
- Experience required: 6 to 8 years.
- Knowledge of design codes such as VGU, Euro Code, DMRB, AASHTO or other international standards desirable.
- Knowledge of the analysis and design principles of roads design.
- Advanced skills in Civil 3D software is a must; knowledge of OpenRoads is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of other related software such as AutoTURN, AutoTrack, vehicle tracking, pathplanner, etc. desirable.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and preparing drawings in accordance with internationally recognised standard formats; knowledge of Microstation is an added advantage.
- In addition to technical/functional acumen, good communication skills and the ability to present work.
- Good teamwork and coordination with other team members and the project manager for timely delivery.
- Professional English language skills (written and verbal).
