Job summary

Ramboll India, Gurgaon seeks a Principal BIM Coordinator to join its engineering centre. You will work with an integrated global team to drive digital design delivery for rail and transport projects, coordinating across disciplines and ensuring standards are applied.

The role requires 8+ years of experience in rail/transport, strong AutoCAD Civil 3D, and familiarity with MicroStation, Navisworks, InfraWorks, and CDE tools. Excellent communication and English language skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech degree in Engineering from a reputed institute.
• 8+ years' experience in Rail/Transport market.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiar with MicroStation, Navisworks, InfraWorks.
• Knowledge of CDE software e.g. ProjectWise/Autodesk Forma.
• Experience in IFC mapping, model attribution, and parametric modelling.
• Experience with clash detection and model/data coordination for complex projects.
• Good communication and team collaboration skills.
• Professional English language skills.

As our new Principal BIM Coordinator, you will be part of a world‑class, innovation‑driven engineering design Centre owned by an independent trust and its employees. REC is a highly sophisticated centre of engineering excellence and is based in our India head office in Gurgaon. Working in partnership with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a centre for excellence in design by offering optimised solutions to the rest of the organisation.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Ensure that we work according to digital requirements and follow our digital processes.
• Work according to the project BIM Execution Plan/Digital Delivery Plan.
• Assist the BIM Managers in driving the project forward with a focus on efficient information management.
• Coordinate with the external and internal project members, including supporting the project's various discipline model coordinators.
• Support the design team with implementation of Ramboll and project specific standards.
• Quality‑assure our digital outputs and deliverables.
• Support the delivery of the project's digital and data/metadata requirements, including project client data and CAD needs.
• Collaborate with project managers and control the exchange of information and deliverables on issues related to digital design.
• Coordinate digital design files, templates and object libraries, including checking.

• BE/B.Tech degree in Engineering from an institute of repute or equivalent.
• Experience required 8+ years.
• Must have previous experience in the Rail/Transport market, including production of deliverables to a high standard.
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and have additional proficiency in one or more software such as MicroStation, Navisworks, Infraworks.
• Must have working knowledge in CDE software e.g. ProjectWise/Autodesk Forma (formerly ACC).
• Experience in IFC mapping, model attribution, and parametric modelling will be advantageous.
• Must have previous experience of clash detection and model/data coordination for complex projects.
• In addition to technical/functional acumen, candidates should have good communication skills and be able to present their work.
• Should be a good team member and comfortable with communication in team meetings.
• Professional English language skills (written and verbal).
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
