Job summary

Ramboll invites a Geotechnical Engineer to join REC RUK Ground Engineering in Gurgaon, with work locations in Gurugram/Hyderabad/Chennai. You will contribute to design, analysis, and supervision of earth retention systems for major projects, coordinating with teams across Ramboll’s global offices.

Applicants should have 3+ years of hands-on geotechnical design experience, familiarity with Eurocodes/BS, and proficiency in PLAXIS 2D, WALLAP and GeoStudio.

Qualifications

• Must possess 3+ years hands-on design experience including in the geotechnical design of heavy civil structures foundations, marine, earth retention and slope stability.
• Experience with Eurocodes/ BS codes will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of PLAXIS 2D, WALLAP and GeoStudio is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret geotechnical investigation reports and design parameters.
• Soil-structure interaction modeling and validation.
• Slope stability analysis and support systems design.
• Design of secant piles, King piles, sheet piles and combiwalls.
• Ground movement, settlement prediction and risk assessments for urban structures.
• Instrumentation and monitoring scheme proposals and data review.
• Numerical modeling and interpretation for slopes stability analysis.
• Prepare geotechnical/geological design specifications and design criteria.

Job description

As our new Geotechnical Engineer for REC RUK Ground Engineering team you will be part of world class, innovation driven engineering design centre owned by an independent trust and its employees. REC is a highly sophisticated centre of engineering excellence and based in our India head office in Gurgaon. Working in partnership with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a centre for excellence in design by offering optimized solutions for UK based projects.

Work Location - Gurugram/Hyderabad/Chennai

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Interpretations of Geotechnical Investigation Reports and use of appropriate geotechnical/geologicaldesignparameters
• Soil Structural Interaction Analysis Modeling and Validation
• Slope Stability Analysis and Support Systems Design
• Design of Secant piles, King Piles, Sheet piles, Combiwalls
• Ground movement, Settlement Prediction and Risk Assessments for Urban Structures
• Instrumentation and Monitoring Scheme Proposals and Data Reviewing
• Numerical Modeling and interpretation of results for Slopes Stability analysis analysis
• PrepareGeotechnical/Geological designspecifications anddesigncriteria

Qualification

• Experience with the European design code (Euro codes)/ British Codes (BS) will be added advantage.
• Candidates having experience in working with Multinational Companies / overseas will be preferred.

• Excellent command of the English Language with proven report writing skills.
• Should be a good team member and should coordinate with other team members and the project manager for timely delivery of project
