Job summary

Tractebel Gurgaon seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to independently lead road/highway design projects in India. You will manage end-to-end design, analysis, coordination, and technical oversight across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with Indian and international codes and project timelines.

You will prepare drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, OpenRoads or MX Road; perform earthwork and grading tasks while reviewing survey data and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5 years of experience in road/highway design projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD / Civil 3D; Bentley OpenRoads / MX Road; MS Excel and other engineering tools.
• Strong knowledge of geometric road design principles and IRC/AASHTO standards; pavements and drainage concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop road/highway design layouts including alignments, profiles, and cross-sections.
• Perform geometric design per IRC, AASHTO or relevant standards.
• Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MX Road or OpenRoads.
• Conduct earthwork calculations, quantity take-offs, and grading design.
• Coordinate with drainage, traffic, and structural engineers.
• Review survey data and integrate into design models.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist in DPRs, tender documents, and reports.

Your Job Functions

The role is responsible for independently leading and delivering comprehensive structural engineering solutions across industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The position involves end-to-end responsibility for design, analysis, coordination, and technical oversight, ensuring compliance with Indian and international codes, project timelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop road and highway design layouts including alignments, profiles, and cross-sections.
• Perform geometric design as per IRC, AASHTO, or relevant international standards.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings using tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MX Road, or OpenRoads.
• Conduct earthwork calculations, quantity take-offs, and grading design.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including drainage, traffic, and structural engineers.

• Support preparation of technical reports, DPRs (Detailed Project Reports), and tender documents.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resolving design-related issues.
• Participate in design reviews and assist senior engineers in decision-making

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 5 years of experience in road/highway design projects.
• Proficiency in:

• Strong knowledge of:
