Job summary

Uno Minda Limited is seeking a Quality Engineer to monitor PU moulding processes, ensure inspection compliance, and analyze defects. You will perform root-cause analyses using 5-Why and 8D, drive corrective actions, and support PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC and MSA to improve process capability.

The role includes training shop-floor staff, handling customer quality concerns, and conducting PFMEA/audit activities to sustain IATF 16949 compliance.

Qualifications

• PU Moulding process and defect analysis.
• In-process and final inspection.
• PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC & MSA.
• 7 QC Tools, 5-Why & 8D.
• Poka-Yoke & process auditing.
• IATF 16949 / QMS knowledge.
• Customer complaint handling.

Responsibilities

• Monitor PU Moulding process parameters and quality standards.
• Ensure in-process and final inspection compliance.
• Monitor defects, rejection trends, and initiate timely corrective actions.
• Perform root cause analysis using 5-Why, 8D, RCA, and CAPA.
• Monitor SPC, MSA, Cp/Cpk, and Poka-Yoke effectiveness.
• Ensure segregation, traceability, and control of NG/reworked parts.
• Handle internal and customer quality concerns and prevent recurrence.
• Conduct process audits and ensure PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP, and IATF 16949 compliance.
• Drive Kaizen, defect reduction, and process improvement activities.
• Guide and train quality inspectors and shop-floor quality manpower
