Job summary

Enpro Industries Pvt Ltd seeks an experienced QAC Engineer to ensure quality across engineering products and processes. The role involves ASME/EN standards, NDE methods, reading drawings, and coordinating with customers and TPIs to drive inspection quality.

You will work closely with shop teams, prepare detailed inspection reports, and provide on-site support as required, ensuring rigorous adherence to quality procedures and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in quality engineering within manufacturing or engineering environments.
• 7–8 years of relevant experience required.
• In-depth knowledge of ASME Coded and EN standards and applicable welding processes.
• Good technical background and communication skills.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Expertise in NDE methods including LPT, RT, UT, etc.
• Ability to create detailed inspection reports, travellers, ITPs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work both in the shop and on-site as required.

Job description

The QAC Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality, and customer representatives, to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and customer requirements. The QAC Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining relevant documentation, conducting root cause analysis for non-conformances, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to improve the quality of engineering products and processes continuously.

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products and services. Your responsibilities will include working with the shop team, making inspection reports, coordinating with customers and third-party inspectors (TPI), and providing support both in the shop

Key Responsibilities:

• ASME Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of ASME standards and their application in quality control and assurance.
• Study the Technical specifications/ Customer documents approved drawings and prepare ITP/QAP/ Procedures/SOPs and submit it to Customer/TPI for approval.
• Coordinate with Customer / TPI for approvals of QA documents.
• In depth technical knowledge of Heat Exchangers/ Pressure vessels/ Skid/ Module fabrication (SS/ CS/ LAS) QA point of view.
• Drawing Reading: Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• NDE Expertise: Knowledge and proficiency in non-destructive examination methods, including Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) etc.
• Welding Process: Be well-versed in all welding processes, techniques, and standards.
• Welding Visual Inspection: Perform thorough visual inspections of welding processes to ensure weld quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Inspection Reports: Prepare detailed and accurate inspection reports to document quality control findings and recommendations.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the shop team, providing hands-on support and ensuring quality at every stage of production.
• Customer and TPI Interaction: Coordinate with customers and third-party inspectors during shop inspections to address inquiries and ensure compliance.
• On-Site Support: Be willing to visit project sites to provide support as requested by customers and project teams.
• Team Player: Actively participate as a valuable member of the Enpro Team, contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
