Job summary

MAHLE in Maharashtra/India seeks a Quality Engineer to drive PPAP and APQP activities for automotive projects. You will transform data with Power BI to build actionable dashboards and prepare PFMEA and control plans for new product development and series projects.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant automotive experience, strong Excel/Power BI skills, and an eye for detail. You will coordinate with suppliers and internal teams while ensuring adherence to IATF 16949 standards.

Qualifications

• BE degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in automotive engineering services/manufacturing.
• Advance Excel, Power BI, Power Apps and Six Sigma Green Belt; IATF 16949 awareness is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate PPAP documents for internal customers and suppliers.
• Participate in APQP reviews per customer planning.
• Transform data and analyze with Power BI to create actionable dashboards.
• Prepare PFMEA and Control Plans for new product development and series projects.
• Conduct process capability studies using MINITAB and analyze data graphs.
• Perform MSA studies using MINITAB and analyze data.
• Lead quality activities in new projects, including gap analysis and risk assessment.
• Review customer requirements and identify gaps; implement corrective actions.
• Prepare weekly/monthly warranty reports with trends and Pareto analysis.

• Prepares and evaluates Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documents for internal customers and suppliers
• Participate in APQP reviews according to planning defined with customers
• Perform data transformation, analysis using Power BI to prepare actionable dashboard
• Prepare PFMEA in SCIO, APIS or Excel for new Product development & series projects
• Preform Process capability studies using MINITAB & analyses the graphs or charts of data
• Perform MSA study using MINITAB & analyses the data
• Leading and coordinating quality activities in new projects regarding Gap Analysis, Quality requirements, Risk analysis etc.
• Review the Customer specific requirement and identify gaps
• Develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements in execution of Quality activities
• To prepare a weekly or monthly warranty report to project stakeholder and to the customer, including trend, pareto analysis for top field failures.
• Analyses customer warranty for responsibility, reason, cost, and resolution.
• Handle IATF internal audits, customer audits & customer portals for documentation.

Your Experience And Qualification

• BE (Mech/Auto/ Electronics/ Electrical) degree.
• 3-5 years relevant experience.
• Advance Excel Certification / Power App/ Power BI skills/ Six Sigma Green Belt / IATF 16949 awareness will be added advantage
• Required Skills: Communication, fully conversant in Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint), Analysis & Problem-solving skills
• Industry Preference: Automotive Engineering Services, Manufacturing background
• Having knowledge of engine components, automotive parts, IATF 16949, drawings, GD&T.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organization time-management abilities.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Minimum Requirement

• Basic knowledge of Quality Management process
• Strong computer skills, including MS office – Tools like, Strong Excel knowledge and data management skill, PPT, SAP.
• Strong communication skills: (written and verbal) to effectively convey information to stakeholders and team members. Fluent written and spoken English.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills: to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
