Job summary

Live Connections in Pune, India is seeking an Engineer / Sr. Engineer - Quality for a contract role. The candidate will lead supplier qualification, perform PPAP/FAI, and drive quality improvements across manufacturing processes.

The role requires 4–10 years in high-tech electronics, knowledge of APQP/PPAP, FMEA and core tools, and the ability to train teams. Strong data analysis, Excel, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field.
• 4–10 years of engineering experience in high tech electronics manufacturing.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP and FMEA and Quality Core Tools.
• Experience in supplier audits and ISO/IATF standards.
• Certified Internal Auditor (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949) is a plus.
• Knowledge of PCB operations, Lean manufacturing and PFMEA.
• Experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Manage part and component qualification through PPAP and FAI across the product.
• Lead supplier qualification and assess risks against engineering requirements.
• Develop inspection standards and methods.
• Disposition of discrepant material and cost assessment.
• Conduct supplier root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Review and improve supplier processes for value and efficiency.
• Document inspection results accurately.
• Conduct on-site/virtual supplier audits for corrective actions.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and report KPIs.
• Prepare and validate First Article Inspections.

Job description

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, were looking to add a Engineer / Sr. Engineer - Quality in Pune, India.(Contract role)

What a typical day looks like:

• Typically requires a bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires 4-10 years of experience in engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related field.
• Manage part and component qualification through PPAP and FAI across the product

Lifecycle

• Lead supplier qualification, assess risks, define process parameters, and verify supplier

capability against engineering requirements.

• Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection
• Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost.
• Follow up with suppliers for root cause analysis and corrective actions on quality issues
• Review and improve supplier manufacturing processes, driving value and efficiency.
• Provide concise, complete, and accurate documentation of inspection results relative to
• area of responsibility.
• Conduct on-site/virtual audits to verify corrective actions related to supplier quality
• issues.
• Support the Quality Manager to monitor and report on supplier product quality and
• performance.
• Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to adhere to process and prevent
• occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, or system.
• Preparation & Validation of First Article Inspection
• Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes
• related to current products in meeting customer requirements
• Demonstrates advanced functional and technical skills and basic process skills. Demonstrates advanced/thorough knowledge of the function and business.
• Typically requires skill and troubleshooting, and diagnostics, and overview of the entire test process and the ability to train others.

The experience were looking to add to our team:

• B.E(ECE/EEE/E&I) graduate or any equivalent education with relevant experience from a manufacturing industry.
• Possess sound knowledge in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Quality Core Tools
• Supplier Auditing | ISO 9001 | IATF 16949 | Process & System Audits | CAPA | Supplier Compliance.
• Certified Internal Auditor (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949)
• Support New Product Launches by ensuring Quality Compliance
• Knowledge of PCB operations, Lean manufacturing principles, and ISO/IATF standards
• Promote continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke, MSA, and PFMEA

techniques

• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and presentation of quality metrics.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
