Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to work on automotive transmission systems. You will engage in gear and shaft design, DFMEA, tolerance analysis, and 3D CAD activities using UG NX or CATIA.

Collaborative work with development teams and suppliers is essential. You will contribute to CAE analyses, BOM management, and casting/machining knowledge while ensuring on-time delivery and addressing integration and build issues with suppliers and

Qualifications

• Hands-on understanding of manual transmission subsystems.
• Knowledge of gears/shafts, synchronizers, shift system and housing design.
• Hands-on experience with UG NX (preferred) or CATIA will be a plus.
• CAE experience related to transmission.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, DFC, DFM and DFS.
• Detailing, tolerance stack-up and GD&T knowledge.
• BOM preparation and maintenance.
• Casting and machining process knowledge.
• Ability to interact with development teams and suppliers for component development.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Should have a clear understanding of manual transmission and its sub systems

Adequate knowledge on Gear&shaft, Synchronizer, shift system,housing design and bearing selection.

Should have a hands on experience of 3D CAD software like UG NX ( preferred)

Adequate knowledge in CAE related to transmission

Adequate Knowledge in DFMEA, DFC, DFM and DFS

Should have sufficient knowledge in detailing, tolerance stack up and GD&T

BOM preparation and maintaining

Need to have casting and machining process knowledge

Ability to interact with development team and supplier for component development

Versatile to work with support system teams and address the integration related concern

Ability to resolve vehicle level integration and validation concerns

Ability to address the manufacturing and build issues with supplier and plant team

Time Management for self & CFT for on time delivery of the project

Experience

2 to 5 Years

Industry Preferred

Automotive, Design and Development of transmission Systems with Adequate Knowledge on Materials and Manufacturing Process

Qualifications

Graduate/PG Engineer (Mechanical or related streams). Diploma Engineers also can be considered based on interveiw.

• Open to travel based on project need.
• Candidates who are likely to stay on for long term are preferred.
• Please ensure CTC is at ~ mid of band.
• Gears & shaft design, Synchronizer and shift system design, Bearing selection, Housing design.

• Documentation and presentation preparation for Audit
• Interaction with Component development team & supplier for part development.
• Coordination with CAE for providing inputs for simulation.
• Root Cause Analysis and Preparation of 8D Reports
