Mahindra and Mahindra Limited in Chennai seeks a skilled engineer to optimize diesel common rail fuel injection systems and calibration strategies. You will work with suppliers to explore hardware options, analyze test results to confirm design validity, and support emission and homologation activities while upholding quality and continuous improvement.

Formación

• Minimum B.Tech/B.E in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.
• Strong knowledge in Diesel engine combustion and calibration.
• Hands-on experience with INCA and VISU software.
• Familiar with Bosch/Delphi EMS software and calibration procedures.
• Excellent communication, analytical and teamwork skills.

Responsabilidades

• Optimize diesel common rail fuel injection systems across calibration strategies.
• Assess feasibility with suppliers for hardware directions.
• Perform root-cause analysis for test/validation issues.
• Support emission and performance robustness trials and homologation.

Job Description:

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• 1) Optimizing Diesel Common Rail Fuel Injection systems in the area of - Injection control strategy, Exhaust After Treatment systems ( LNT, SCR, DPF ) Calibration Strategies, Rail pressure control strategy, Vehicle start ability, Vehicle drivability, Vehicle emission dvp etc for various current and upcoming Common Rail Engines and Vehicle testing to analysis the performance of the vehicle
• 2) Should be able to perform feasibility study with help of supplier for any hardware (eg FIE system/Combustion sys/Turbocharger) which will give direction for the project
• 3) Analyse the issues arising out of test , validation to confirm the design by root cause analysis of the problems / issues by using various problem solving techniques like Global 8D or deviation analysis or engine mapping exercise or development of multidimensional input-output maps among different engine variables. e.g. a map from intake manifold pressure and engine speed to intake air flow rate.etc.
• 4) Emission & Performance Robustness consistency and homologation trials for engines by type approval completion.
• 5) Sound understanding on Quality adherence processes/VAVE generation of ideas

Experience

• 3 to 4 years post M.Tech/M.E
• 5 to 7 years post B.Tech/B.E

Industry Preferred

• Automobile OEM (relevent area - Diesel Engine Calibration), BOSCH , Delphi.
