Job summary

Abhyuday Bharat Projects seeks a Senior Engineer to lead end-to-end Food & Agribusiness EPC/PMC projects. You will bridge engineering design, procurement, on-site execution, and client interactions to ensure timely delivery within budget while adhering to hygienic standards.

The role covers FEED, detailed design, P&IDs, equipment specs, and cross-disciplinary coordination with Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical teams. Strong vendor negotiation and QA/QC discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Process/Food Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in an engineering consultant (PMC) or EPC firm handling Food, Dairy, Beverage, or Agro-processing projects.
• In-depth hygienic engineering concepts and clean utilities knowledge.
• Experience with grain/vegetable/fruit handling, cold storage, pasteurization, or packaging lines.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EPC/PMC lifecycle from feasibility through commissioning.
• Lead FEED, detailed engineering, and commissioning of Agro and Food Processing projects.
• Coordinate design, P&IDs, equipment specs, and utilities.
• Drive vendor evaluations and multi-discipline contractor management.
• Establish QA/QC on-site and ensure compliance with food sector regs.
• Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical teams and client interfaces.
• Track progress, manage variations/claims, and report MIS to senior management.

Role & responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Engineer with a proven track record in executing end-to-end Food & Agro industrial projects. In this role, you will bridge the gap between engineering design, procurement, on-site execution, Process Consultant and Client. Whether acting as the Project Management Consultant (PMC) overseeing contractors or leading turnkey EPC deliverables, you will ensure all projects components are executed on time, within budget, and to national and international hygienic standards.

Job Description

• Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee and drive the EPC/PMC lifecycle, including feasibility studies, FEED (Front End Engineering Design), detailed engineering, and commissioning of Agro and Food Processing Projects.
• Design & Layout Coordination, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), equipment specifications, utility requirements.
• Vendor & Contract Management: Lead technical evaluations for specialized food-grade equipment (e.g., dryers, material handling, sortation, clean utility systems) and manage multi-discipline contractor workflows.
• Quality & Compliance Control: Establish and implement strict QA/QC protocols on-site, ensuring all installations strictly adhere to applicable food sector regulations.
• Cross-Functional Synergy: Coordinate actively between engineering disciplines (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, process engineering) and manage client interfaces to resolve engineering design bottlenecks or design changes early.
• Progress Tracking & Risk Management: Monitor project critical paths, prepare look-ahead schedules, manage variations/claims, and deliver detailed weekly/monthly MIS to senior management.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical/Chemical/ Process/Food Engineering.
• Experience: 5 to 8 years of active experience in an engineering consultant (PMC) or contracting (EPC) firm, specifically handling Food, Dairy, Beverage, or Agro-processing manufacturing plant projects.
• Technical Domain Expertise:
  • In-depth understanding of Hygienic Engineering Concepts, clean utilities (WFI, food-grade steam, sterile air) and system integration.
  • Experience with grain/vegetable/fruit handling, cold storage infrastructures, pasteurization loops, or secondary packaging lines (semi automatic/automatic)
• Tools & Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD with working in, MS Project is a major plus.
• Core Competencies: Strong command over Safety reviews, sharp vendor negotiation capabilities, and outstanding cross-functional leadership traits.
