is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Head Projects & Engineering to lead Engineering, Asset Care, Utilities, Capital Projects, and Engineering Excellence initiatives. The role will be responsible for driving greenfield and brownfield projects, ensuring high equipment reliability, optimizing power and fuel consumption, and implementing world-class engineering practices to support business growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in Engineering, Asset Care, Projects, Utilities, and Plant Maintenance within FMCG or Food Manufacturing.
• Proven experience in executing Greenfield and Brownfield Expansion projects.
• Strong expertise in Power, Fuel, Utilities, Asset Reliability, and Engineering Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall Engineering function, ensuring maximum equipment availability and plant reliability.
• Lead end-to-end execution of Greenfield and Brownfield projects from concept to commissioning.
• Drive optimization of Power, Fuel, Utilities, and Engineering Costs.
• Drive Engineering Excellence through Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement.
• Develop preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.

Job Summary

VRB Consumer Products Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Head Projects & Engineering to lead Engineering, Asset Care, Utilities, Capital Projects, and Engineering Excellence initiatives. The role will be responsible for driving greenfield and brownfield projects, ensuring high equipment reliability, optimizing power and fuel consumption, and implementing world-class engineering practices to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Asset Care

• Lead the overall Engineering function, ensuring maximum equipment availability and plant reliability.
• Develop and implement comprehensive Asset Care strategies, including preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), MTBF, and reduce MTTR through engineering best practices.
• Ensure optimum lifecycle management of plant assets.

Projects Management

• Lead end-to-end execution of Greenfield Projects and Brownfield Expansion Projects from concept to commissioning.
• Prepare project feasibility studies, budgets, timelines, and resource plans.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, OEMs, and internal stakeholders for seamless project execution.

Power, Fuel & Utilities Management

• Drive optimization of Power, Fuel, Utilities, and Engineering Costs.
• Manage utilities including electrical systems, boilers, compressors, refrigeration, HVAC, DG sets, water treatment, and air compressors.
• Identify and implement energy conservation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor utility consumption and develop strategies for cost reduction and sustainability.

Engineering Excellence

• Drive Engineering Excellence through Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Implement automation, digitization, predictive maintenance, and Industry 4.0 practices where applicable.
• Standardize engineering processes, SOPs, and maintenance systems across the plant.
• Benchmark engineering practices to improve plant productivity and operational excellence.

Maintenance & Reliability

• Develop preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for critical equipment failures.
• Improve equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.
• Ensure availability of critical spares and optimize maintenance costs.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, electrical safety, and engineering standards.
• Support EHS initiatives and maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure adherence to GMP, FSSAI, ISO, and other applicable manufacturing standards.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and mentor Engineering, Maintenance, Utilities, and Projects teams.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance to achieve business objectives.
• Develop succession plans and build engineering capabilities within the organization.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Engineering, Asset Care, Projects, Utilities, and Plant Maintenance within FMCG or Food Manufacturing.
• Proven experience in executing Greenfield and Brownfield Expansion projects.
• Strong expertise in Power, Fuel, Utilities, Asset Reliability, and Engineering Excellence.
• Hands-on experience in CAPEX planning, project execution, maintenance strategy, and automation.
• Excellent leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
