Job summary

RPG Group is seeking a Production Lead for its copper conductor and extrusion operations in Vadodara. You will schedule machines, ensure material readiness, monitor production, update records, and lead quality controls in the copper conductor and cable lines.

You will drive scrap reduction, cost optimization and ongoing process improvements, while coordinating with shift teams and attending SQEC meetings. Strong SAP/ERP and Excel skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SAP or ERP systems, advanced Excel and presentation skills.
• Implementing 5S and KAIZEN in the workplace.
• Experience with copper conductor/machining processes and related manufacturing steps.

Responsibilities

• Schedule production as per bar chart.
• Ensure availability of input materials near machines.
• Monitor production and record data per machine capacity.
• Update DPR & JD production records.
• Monitor and dispose of scrap in every shift.
• Attend SQEC meetings and walk-throughs.
• Lead production in Tinned Copper Conductor and Extrusion sections.
• Circulate production reports to concerned teams.
• Manage quality parameters in in-process copper conductors and cables.
• Drive scrap reduction, usage optimization and cost control.
• Plan monthly production and analyze achievement against plan.
• Contribute to process monitoring improvements and train multi-skilled workforce.
• Troubleshoot process/engineering issues.

Responsibilities :

• To schedule machine as per bar chart.
• To ensure the availability of sufficient input near the machine.
• To Monitor & measurement of production as per machine capacity.
• To ensure all production records are updated in DPR & JD.
• Monitoring, recording & disposal of scrap in every shift.
• To attend SQEC meetings & walk through
• Responsible for production shift lead in Tinned Copper Conductor and Extrusion section.
• To circulate production report to all concerned.
• Handling production and in-process Tinned Copper Conductor and Cable quality and parameters
• Scrap reduction, usage reduction, cost optimization
• Monthly production Planning & its achievement analysis against plan
• Active role in improvement of Process monitoring activities, in processing of Tinned Copper Conductor and Cables
  Developing, managing and monitoring the performance of multi-skilled workforce and conceptualizing need-based training programs for maximizing operational efficiency
• Understand and trouble shoot process and engineering issues.
• Report every near miss & potential risk and act for solution

Technical skills :-

• Knowledge of SAP or any ERP, Advance Excel, Presentation Skills
• Implementing the concept of 5S and KAIZEN in the workplace
• Knowledge of the process of machines like RBD, Tinning, Multi-Wire Drawing, Bunching, Stranding, Extrusion, Coiling, Rewinding, Laying,Taping, Braiding would be preferrable.

Functional Skills

• To ensure the availability of Raw Material on all machines.
• To ensure adequate feed to all process machinery during shift operation.
• To take physical stock of Raw Material to compare with logical stock.
• To maintain weekly material balance report.
