Job summary

BorgWarner, a leading automotive supplier, seeks a Senior Engineer - Production to meet daily targets, plan production and supervise personnel while ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to customer schedules.

The role demands strong assembly process knowledge, material planning, and experience with IATF QMS, Lean, TPM/TQM and SAP PP; you will lead 5S, Kaizen and energy conservation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Sound manufacturing knowledge in assembly operations.
• Experience with material/inventory planning and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of IATF QMS, Lean concepts, TPM/TQM and SAP PP.
• Awareness of ISO 14001/45001/50001 and energy conservation.

Responsibilities

• Meet production targets and plan day-to-day outputs.
• Lead production team and supervise staff; ensure safety and compliance.
• Adhere to customer schedules and achieve QCD objectives (quality, cost, delivery).
• Drive 5S, Kaizen, and TPM/TQM initiatives to improve performance.
• Collaborate with OEMs and cross-functional teams to optimize output.

Senior Engineer - Production is responsible for to meet production targets, planning and effectively supervising employees. Also ensure a safe work environment, meet customer schedule adherence and attain established goals in the areas of production quality, delivery and cost. Responsible for achieving the day-to-day targets of the assigned production line.

• Should have sound manufacturing process knowledge on Assembly operations. and related process settings, problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Responsible for all production activities for day-to-day output with QCD approach [Quality Cost & Delivery] with a focus on customer requirements.
• Worked with Multiple customers including major OEMs like Hyundai, Suzuki, Honda, Toyota etc.
• Should have strong experience in Material / Inventory planning and CFT working experience to adhere Customer schedules both quantitative & qualitative.
• Passion to work and improve team performance and have good employee relationship skills to participate and address their grievances efficiently.
• Working knowledge on IATF Quality Management Systems, Lean concepts, TPM / TQM & SAP PP module.
• To lead production team and facilitate 5S, SGA, QCC, Kaizen implementation.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power point, Word
• Basic awareness in IATF, ISO 14001. 45001 and 50001 requirements preferably internal auditor with previous experience with respect to ISO standards. Ensure to create awareness on energy conservation techniques among employees and implement the same.
