Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing processes and improvements.
• Hands-on knowledge of VMC/CNC machining and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Conduct detailed process analysis related to raw materials, bought-out components, machining processes, and fixture design.
• Analyze drawings and define optimal process flow for machining, bench work, and assembly operations.
• Design, evaluate, and implement new processes or technologies to support innovation.
• Prepare and maintain process documentation including SOPs, work instructions, process flows, control plans, PFMEA, stage drawings, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with production, quality, supply chain, and cross-functional teams for robust implementation.
• Support fixture design, inspection methodologies, and assembly techniques.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards and statutory requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement and share best practices across departments

PRIME FUNCTION

To develop, optimize, and implement efficient manufacturing processes that enhance productivity, ensure quality compliance, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives in machining and assembly operations.

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Conduct detailed process analysis to identify improvement opportunities related to raw materials, bought-out components, machining processes, and fixture design.
• Analyze engineering drawings and define optimal process flow for machining, bench work, and assembly operations.
• Design, evaluate, and implement new manufacturing processes or technologies to support innovation.
• Prepare and maintain process documentation including SOPs, work instructions, process flow diagrams, control plans, PFMEA, stage drawings, and technical reports.

Experience:

• 5-10 years

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on knowledge of VMC, CNC machines, and machining processes.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience in fixture design, inspection methodologies, and assembly processes.
• Proficiency in engineering tools/software such as UG NX and CATIA.
• Knowledge of process documentation including PFDs, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SOPs.
• AS9100 QMS and Documentation awareness.
