Job summary

Linde India is seeking a Senior Engineer Mechanical to oversee day-to-day plant operations, production and maintenance in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu. You will participate in field routine work, inspect instrumentation and electrical issues, and coordinate with the reliability team.

The role also covers mechanical maintenance of rotary equipment, spare procurement, vendor management, SAP and SRM usage, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in plant operations and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily field routine jobs and inspect instrumentation; highlight issues to reliability team and take corrective actions.
• Oversee day-to-day plant operation, production, DPR, PT/FT calibration and record keeping.
• Maintain field safety and execute isolation using LOTO; prepare PTW as required.
• Perform mechanical maintenance of rotary equipment (centrifugal compressor, pump, turbine, valves).
• Manage spare procurement, vendor relations, and use of SAP and SRM systems.
• Uphold safety standards in all activities.

What will you do?

• In this role, you will be responsible for participating in daily field routine jobs along with inspection of instrumentation and electrical issue and highlighting the issue to reliability team and take corrective actions in case of any abnormalities
• Further, you will be responsible for day-to-day plant operation, production, preparation DPR, different PT, FT calibration and record keeping
• Additionally, you will be responsible for the maintenance activities in the field as discussed with the maintenance people, identifying the hazard related to that job, purging (if required), marking that line/ equipment’s in P&ID, maintaining LOTO system for isolation after zero energy verification and issuing PTW
• Furthermore, you will be responsible for the mechanical maintenance of rotary equipment (Centrifugal compressor, pump, turbine, valves etc)
• Moreover, you are in charge for spare procurement, vendor management, handling of SAP and SRM
• Maintaining all safety standards is a part of your responsibility
