Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 12+ years of maintenance experience in Air Separation / Fertilizer / Chemical plants.
• Experience with rotary and static equipment.
• Strong decision-making skills under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 100% SHEQ compliance for mechanical systems; audit reliability and drive actions.
• Provide mechanical support to operating sites; ensure cost-efficient maintenance.
• Review and approve major turnaround scopes; ensure site teams get expert support.
• Develop and implement sourcing, maintenance, and upgrade strategies including condition-based maintenance.
• Review downtime and maintenance costs; seek cost-reduction opportunities and track actions to closure.
• Approve major modifications and update plant documents in the management system.
• Ensure new plant/mechanical system requirements are defined and comply with standards; participate in reviews and handovers.
• Train team members to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot new systems.

Making an impact. What will you do?

• In this role you will maintain 100% compliance in SHEQ (SafetyHealth Environment & Quality) requirements related to mechanicalrotary, static equipment and human safety aspects, drive and perform reliability / safety audit of mechanical systems and related workflows, define and follow up on the resulting actions


• Further,you will ensure that mechanical systems support is provided to the operating sites on timely manner and ensure that maintenance for mechanical systems is adequate, cost efficient and in compliance to Linde work processes


• Additionally, you will review and approve mechanical scope of major turnarounds and ensure the site teams get adequate expert support in emergency situations, in the investigation of mechanical system related failures, in the preparation of contingency plans to be used at sites, in RCA's, in developing and completing actions for reliability Improvement


• Furthermore, you will develop & implement a strategy for the sourcing, replacement, engineering, maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical systems which include,defining the activities to be insourced / outsourced,standardizationof equipment and service providers (incl. rate contracts / blanket ordersetc., identification,selection & development of service providers,identificationof obsolescence issues and planning & execution of suitable upgrade& exchange programs,applicationand ongoing management of condition-based maintenance strategies and theassociated data


• Likewise, you will reviewdowntime reporting of mechanical system failures at sites in the region, reviewinternal and external maintenance costs and look for cost reductionopportunities, review open actions for sites and track them to closure, reportimplementation status of initiatives resulting from alerts, technicalbulletins, lessons from reliability events and directives


• Reviewing and/or approving all major modifications and configuration changesto the mechanical systems and ensuring update of the related plant documents in document management system aftermodification is a part of your responsibility


• Moreover, for mechanicalsystems of new plants or process units you will ensure thatrelevantrequirements are defined and reviewed by members of the team, mechanicalsystem structures & vendors are compliant with Linde standards andspecific project/site requirements,team membersparticipate in relevant project reviews and acceptance (incl. factory andsite acceptance tests, handover of systems),respectiveteam members and maintenance teams are trained to operate, maintain andtroubleshoot the new systems, all necessarydocuments are handed over, are of good quality and are stored in a standardized way,vendors & service providers are aligned with Linde maintenance teamsfor troubleshooting and service, 'Integrate new assets' workflow is applied through the Region with respect to mechanical systems

• You have a Bachelor’s / master's degree in mechanical engineering or related subject with over twelve (12+) years of experience in maintenance function of Air Separation / Fertilizer / Chemical / process plant


• Experience in operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and design of rotary and static equipment and systems


• Critical decision-making skills are required in this role


• Ability to take right decision based on facts under pressure
