Job summary

CBTS in Chennai, India seeks an experienced network engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and security to support business operations.

The role focuses on monitoring, incident management, upgrades, and mentoring junior engineers while driving observability and documentation to enable runbooks and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day network operations, including monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting.
• Performs structured troubleshooting, problem management, RCA, performance optimization and escalations handling.
• Assists in design and implementation of scalable and secure network solutions.
• Supports network upgrades, migrations, patching, software upgrades, capacity management and resilience improvements.
• Implements network security controls, ACLs, firewall policies, zero trust segmentation and access governance.
• Ensures end-to-end network observability, monitoring integration and proactive detection of performance degradation.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date network change documentation, operational runbooks, and standard operating procedures to support knowledge management and team continuity.
• Guide junior engineers in the routine tasks and support escalations

This role focuses on ensuring network reliability, performance, and security while supporting business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
