Job summary

LID Infra in Mumbai is seeking a commercially driven Civil Engineer to lead project budgeting, estimation, cost planning and value engineering for diverse civil and infrastructure projects.

The role involves close collaboration with Planning, Procurement, Execution and Management teams to ensure financially sound project delivery and alignment of budgets with project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs and project budgets based on drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and detailed rate analysis for civil, structural, architectural, finishing and infrastructure works.
• Develop preliminary project budgets and cost plans during pre-construction stages.
• Provide estimation and commercial inputs during project acquisition and pre-construction planning.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and procurement teams for obtaining quotations and conducting commercial evaluations.
• Prepare comparative statements and assist in finalization of project budgets and cost benchmarks.
• Support project cash flow planning, cost forecasting and resource cost assessments.
• Monitor estimated versus awarded/projected costs and highlight cost variances.
• Contribute to value engineering and cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality and functionality.
• Maintain historical cost databases, productivity benchmarks and market rate records.
• Prepare management reports, budget summaries and commercial analyses to support business decisions.
• Work closely with Planning, Procurement and Project teams to ensure alignment between budgets, execution plans and project objectives.
