Job summary

Merlin Group in Pune is seeking a Civil Engineering professional to lead estimation, cost management and project planning. You will conduct feasibility analyses, prepare budgets and support pre-construction activities.

The role requires strong knowledge of construction materials and market rates, plus proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD and estimation software, and excellent communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility analysis for new and ongoing projects.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets; ensure alignment with cost parameters.

• Perform rate analysis and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Participate in pre-construction activities, including planning and estimation.
• Present budget reports and cost updates to senior management.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, execution teams and external consultants/vendors.

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor project budgets; ensure alignment with cost parameters.
  
• Implement effective cost control and cost planning strategies.
  
• Prepare detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensure material reconciliation.
  
• Perform rate analysis and identify opportunities for value engineering.
  
• Participate actively in pre-construction activities, including planning and estimation.
  
• Present budget reports and cost updates to senior management.
  
• Coordinate with internal teams (design, procurement, execution) and external stakeholders (consultants, vendors).

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field (preferred).
