Job summary

BorgWarner in India is seeking a Senior Engineer – Maintenance to maintain and troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery, lead a maintenance team, and drive process improvements. The role includes machine-building activities, installing and commissioning new equipment, and maintaining comprehensive maintenance records.

The ideal candidate will have PLC programming/troubleshooting experience with Omron, Allen Bradley, and Mitsubishi, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to lead and motivate

Qualifications

• Ability to write new programs and troubleshoot PLCs (Omron, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi).

• Maintain Material Handling systems (Hoist, Crane, Stacker, Forklift).

Job Description:

Sr Engineer – Maintenance is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting PLC-controlled machinery to minimize downtime and ensure safe, timely, and efficient production runs. They should also be capable of undertaking machine-building activities and driving process improvements, such as implementing Poka-Yokes, reducing cycle times, and replacing outdated control systems. In addition, the engineer should lead and motivate team members to enhance their performance and skill levels. They must also manage maintenance documentation effectively and ensure the smooth operation of the overall maintenance function.

• Ability to write new programs and trouble shooting in PLCs like Omron, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi
• Should be able to ensure safe operation of Machineries.
• Ensure working condition of all Material Handling system like (Hoist, Crane, Stacker, Forklift).
• Ensure operation and maintenance of Compressor and Dryers.
• Should be able work on continuous improvement activities.
• Should have Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge on new machine Installation and Commissioning.
• Ability to lead, guides, train and motivate team of young work force.
