Job summary

Flex seeks a Senior Developer, Applications for its Chennai, India team. You will design and build scalable .NET applications, develop microservices, and implement cloud-based solutions with Azure. Strong Angular frontend and REST API skills are essential, along with database design and DevOps practices.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of ASP.NET MVC experience, TDD proficiency, and hands-on cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP). On-site in Chennai with health insurance and PTO available.

Qualifications

• Senior .NET developer with strong background in building secured, scalable, high-performance web applications on the Microsoft stack.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and developing web applications using ASP.Net and MVC.
• Hands-on experience in developing microservices-based applications.
• Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) using unit-testing framework.
• Hands-on development experience in building responsive UI with Angular 17+ (HTML5, CSS3).
• 3+ years of experience with Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• Experience with ORM like Entity Framework or NHibernate.
• Strong knowledge of Web APIs/REST APIs and .NET design patterns.
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS/Azure) and cloud native development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build new applications using .Net and MVC.
• Enhance and support existing applications using MVC, C#.NET, Web Services/Web API.
• Develop on-premises and cloud-hosted apps (Azure).
• Develop microservices-based apps using containers and DevOps practices.
• Design databases and write stored procedures for SQL Server/MySQL.
• Document architecture and design of applications.

What a typical day looks like:

• Design, build new applications using .Net
• Enhance / Support existing applications using MVC, C#.NET, Web Services / Web API, Entity Framework / ADO.NET.
• Develop On-premises / Cloud (using Azure) hosting applications.
• Develop Microservices-based applications, leveraging Containers and DevOps practices.
• Database design for simple to medium sized transactional databases, write Stored Procedures and Functions in SQL Server / MYSQL
• Significantly contribute to Design and Architecture of the Applications.
• Thoroughly document the architecture / design of the applications.
• Developing web applications using Angular 17 or higher, ASP.Net and MVC .NET.
• Developing Web applications using Kendo / Telerik controls for MVC.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Senior .NET developer with a strong background in building: secured, scalable, high-quality and high-performance web applications on the Microsoft technology stack.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and developing web application using ASP.Net and MVC.
• Hands-on experience in developing microservices-based applications.
• Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) using unit-testing framework.
• Hands-on development experience in building Responsive Web Design user interfaces using Angular 17 or higher, HTML5, CSS3 and Angular JS.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with Oracle / SQL Server / MYSQL / PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience in ORM like Entity Framework or N-Hibernate.
• At least three years of Experience with JavaScript / jQuery, HTML, CSS, and XML.
• Strong coding knowledge on developing applications using Web APIs / REST APIs.
• Excellent technical expertise and experience in .net design patterns.
• Thorough understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)
• Knowledge in messaging frameworks like RabbitMQ, MSMQ, ActiveMQ, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in working in a team environment.
• Knowledge AWS / Azure cloud services
• Hands on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) cloud services such as Cloud Functions, Cloud storage, Compute Engine, App Engines and GKE
• Hands on experience in Cloud native development and micro service-based architecture
• Hands on experience in leveraging Gemini Enterprise for AI based app development
