Job summary

ZF Group in Bengaluru, India is seeking a Senior Engineer- Embedded Automation Testing to design, implement and maintain automated test frameworks for embedded and IoT devices.

Strong Python and PyTest skills are required, with hands-on experience in CI/CD, Docker, virtualization, and cloud-based test infrastructure.

You will work with hardware teams on protocols like UDS, CAN/CAN FD, ISO-TP, and serial interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C), to ensure robust validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electronics & Communication, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, IoT, or related fields.
• 3-5 years of experience in test automation, device validation, embedded systems testing, or automotive/IoT automation.
• Strong hands-on experience in Python programming; PyTest framework for test automation.
• Experience in developing automation frameworks for embedded systems, IoT devices, or networking products.
• Experience with Git.
• Hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics protocols such as UDS (ISO 14229), CAN/CAN FD, and ISO-TP.
• Understanding of serial communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C) and network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, MQTT, SSH, REST APIs).
• Ability to automate testing through serial consoles, CLIs, and device APIs; experience with Docker, virtualization, or cloud-based test infrastructure.

• Strong hands‑on experience in Python programming. Proficiency in PyTest framework for test automation.

• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Hands‑on experience in automotive diagnostics protocols such as UDS (ISO 14229), CAN/CAN FD, and ISO-TP.
