Job summary

ZF Bengaluru seeks a Senior Engineer- Embedded Automation Testing to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for embedded and IoT devices, using Python and PyTest. You will validate device functionality, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, analyze failures, and collaborate with development teams to build reusable test libraries and scalable automation.

Strong Python skills and experience with embedded systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electronics & Communication, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, IoT, or related fields.
• 3-5 years of experience in test automation, device validation, embedded systems testing, or automotive/IoT automation.
• Strong hands-on experience in Python programming. Proficiency in PyTest framework for test automation.
• Experience in developing automation frameworks for embedded systems, IoT devices, or networking products.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics protocols such as UDS, CAN/CAN FD, and ISO-TP.
• Understanding of serial communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN). Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, MQTT, SSH, and REST APIs.
• Ability to automate testing through serial consoles, command-line interfaces, and device APIs. Experience with Docker, virtualization, or cloud-based test infrastructure.
