Job summary

SWITS DIGITAL Private Limited in Chennai is seeking a Test Engineer specialized in Embedded Systems. You will perform requirement analysis, design test scenarios, execute functional, system and integration tests, and contribute to test automation with Python.

You will validate CAN, MODBUS, RS-232 and RS-485 communications, log defects, and collaborate with software and hardware teams to improve testing strategies and overall product quality.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Embedded Systems Testing.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for testing or automation.
• Strong STLC knowledge and testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and test case design techniques.
• Strong understanding of the Bug/Defect Life Cycle.
• Experience with test management and defect-tracking tools.

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product requirements, technical specifications, and software requirements.
• Design and develop test scenarios, test conditions, and test cases based on functional and technical requirements.
• Execute functional, system-level, and integration testing of embedded systems.
• Develop and execute Python scripts for testing and test automation.
• Validate embedded communication protocols, including CAN, MODBUS, RS-232, RS-485, and serial communication.
• Analyze test results, identify deviations, and report defects.
• Log, track, and manage defects using test management and bug-tracking tools.
• Perform defect retesting, verification, and regression testing.

• Collaborate with software developers, hardware engineers, and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
