Job summary

PSP Projects Limited in India is seeking an EHS professional to develop and implement the EHS Management System on sites, and to guide project teams in safety practices.

The role requires a Diploma or BSc in a relevant field and 6–9 years of experience; you will conduct inspections, incident investigations, fire drills, and coordinate with the client for emergency planning and training programs.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of EHS experience on construction sites.
• Diploma inMechanical/Civil/Electrical or BSc with safety diploma.
• Experience in implementing EHS systems and plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop and assist site management in implementing EHS Management System and project-specific EHS Plan.
• Guide teams on EHS practices, report observations to the responsible person, and follow up on concerns.
• Conduct EHS inspections of work area, methods, workers, machinery, and tools; provide observations and ensure compliance.
• Create EHS awareness through Pep Talks.
• Coordinate Project Manager & Committee members in HIRA and periodic reviews.
• Investigate near-miss cases, medical treatment cases, lost time, and fatalities; recommend corrective measures.
• Convene EHS Committee meetings and circulate minutes for follow-up actions.
• Advise on Work Permit Systems implementation.
• Report to EHSM on EHS status and promotional programs at site level.
• Conduct Fire Drills and maintain Fire Extinguishers.
• Plan and conduct Special EHS training programs to prevent accidents.
• Coordinate with client during emergencies and implement evacuation plans.
• Organize campaigns and highlighting programmes to promote EHS at the workplace.
