Job summary

Larsen & Toubro Limited is seeking an EHS professional to monitor legal EHS compliance at sites and participate in committee activities. The role involves preparing risk assessments, SOPs, emergency plans, and coordinating with project teams for safety improvements.

The incumbent will conduct periodic site inspections, drive digital EHS initiatives, and organize safety campaigns while ensuring timely reporting of deviations to the project manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Technology (BTech) is required.
• Post Graduate Diploma In Health, Safety and Environment (PGDHSE) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the compliance of legal requirements at the worksite.
• Conduct and participate in the EHS committee activities.
• Prepare EHS risk assessments and facilitate safe operating procedures.
• Prepare site emergency response plan and conduct periodic mock drills at sites.
• Conduct periodical inspections of sites, labor camps, site offices and site stores; identify safety issues, analyze incident trends and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with P&M team for periodical inspection of all equipment at site.
• Review and appraise site EHS performance and facilitate improvement.
• Work in coordination with the project team.
• Facilitate the implementation of work permit system.
• Update site-specific SOPs to meet site requirements.
• Prepare site EHS statistics and report to Lead EHS weekly or monthly.
• Timely reporting of EHS deviations to project manager for continual improvement.
• Organize campaigns, competitions and other programs to promote EHS at workplace.
• Implement Digital Initiatives.
• Inspect fire extinguishers periodically.
