Job summary

Microland Limited in Bengaluru, India is seeking a Senior Engineer for Cloud and Datacenter operations. The role requires handling incident resolution, monitoring, backups, and SOP-driven activities in a 24x7 support environment.

You will work with cross-functional teams, ensure SLA compliance, and maintain IT security guidelines while leveraging ServiceNow and Remedy for incident management and ticketing.

Qualifications

• Basic awareness of Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Fundamental understanding of databases (Oracle, SQL, or similar).
• Basic knowledge of storage technologies (SAN/NAS) and backup solutions.
• Familiarity with IT monitoring tools and ITSM/ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.) – preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on following processes.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Willingness to work in 24x7 support shifts (rotational).
• Proactively monitor IT infrastructure systems (servers, databases, storage, and backup) using standard monitoring tools.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting and resolution based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Log, track, and update incidents, service requests, and alerts in the ITSM tool.
• Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams with proper documentation.
• Support daily health checks, backups, and routine operational tasks.
• Assist in maintaining knowledge base articles and SOP updates.
• Ensure compliance with SLAs, operational processes, and IT security guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth incident handling and communication.

Responsibilities
