Job summary

Commvault is seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in C#/C++ to join our Server Team across multiple Indian locations. You will develop and optimize core server components for enterprise backup, recovery, and cyber resilience workloads, collaborating with globally distributed teams to deliver scalable software.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of experience in software development, strong OO design skills in C++/C#, and knowledge of Windows/Linux, multithreading, and networking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience in C++, C#, Object oriented design, Dotnet.
• Good knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows/Linux) and multithreading.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core server-side components.
• Build scalable, high-performance enterprise software.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Debug complex production issues and improve system performance.
• Collaborate with Product Management, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional engineering teams.

The Opportunity

We have an outstanding career opportunity for Senior Engineer- C#/C++ at Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune locations. As a Senior Engineer on the Server Team, you will develop and enhance mission-critical server components that process large-scale enterprise backup, recovery, and cyber resilience workloads. You'll collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams to deliver highly scalable, reliable, and high-performance software.

What You’ll Do…

Who You Are…

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4 or more years of software development experience
• Strong experience in C++, C#, Object oriented design, Dotnet.
• Good knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows/Linux), Multithreading and concurrency, Data structures and algorithms, Networking concepts, Distributed systems.
• Experience with debugging and performance optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in Agile development environments.
• Security and SaaS experience strongly preferred.
