Job summary

Commvault seeks a Senior Engineer- C#/C++ to join the Server Team across Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pune. You will design, develop, and enhance mission-critical server components that process large-scale backup, recovery, and cyber resilience workloads.

You’ll collaborate with globally distributed teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance software. The role emphasizes architecture input, code quality, debugging complex issues, and mentoring engineers, with a focus on security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience in C++, C#, and .NET stack.
• Experience with multithreading, OS (Windows/Linux), and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core server-side components.
• Build scalable, high-performance enterprise software.
• Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews.
• Write clean, well-tested code and fix production issues.
• Collaborate with Product Management, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews.
• Follow SSDLC and integrate security in the SDLC.

The Opportunity

We have an outstanding career opportunity for Senior Engineer- C#/C++ at Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune locations. As a Senior Engineer on the Server Team, you will develop and enhance mission-critical server components that process large-scale enterprise backup, recovery, and cyber resilience workloads. You'll collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams to deliver highly scalable, reliable, and high-performance software.

What You’ll Do…

• Design, develop, and maintain core server-side components.
• Build scalable, high-performance enterprise software.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Debug complex production issues and improve system performance.
• Collaborate with Product Management, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews.
• Drive innovation while maintaining product quality and reliability.
• Follow the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) by incorporating security throughout the software development process.

Who You Are…

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4 or more years of software development experience
• Strong experience in C++, C#, Object oriented design, Dotnet.
• Good knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows/Linux), Multithreading and concurrency, Data structures and algorithms, Networking concepts, Distributed systems.
• Experience with debugging and performance optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in Agile development environments.
• Security and SaaS experience strongly preferred.
