Lucas TVS Limited seeks a seasoned Manufacturing / Process Planning Engineer to plan, organize, and coordinate the installation and commissioning of plant machinery. You will lead NPI studies with DFM/DFA, drive APQP activities, and ensure manufacturability for motor-related processes.

You will oversee tool design, maintain detailed process documentation, optimize layouts, coordinate procurement and validation with vendors, and mentor junior engineers while adhering to safety and quality

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in process planning, plant setup, or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA, APQP, PFMEA and tool design.
• BLDC motor process design.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, organize, and coordinate installation and commissioning of plant machinery.
• Lead NPI studies ensuring manufacturability using DFM and DFA principles.
• Drive APQP activities to support product launches.
• Oversee and guide tool and fixture design to meet production needs.
• Prepare, review, and maintain detailed process documentation including PFMEA and AIAG & VDA.
• Develop strategies for plant layout, machine utilization, and workflow optimization.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams for equipment procurement, installation, and validation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process, machinery, or layout issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and team members on process planning and plant setup best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards during plant setup and operation.

Role & responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and coordinate the installation and commissioning of plant machinery and equipment.
• Lead new product introduction studies, ensuring manufacturability using Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities to support product launches.
• Oversee and guide tool and fixture design to meet production needs.
• Prepare, review, and maintain detailed process documentation including process flow charts, QCPC, PFMEA- AIAG & VDA
• Develop strategies for plant layout, machine utilization, and workflow optimization.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams for equipment procurement, installation, and validation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process, machinery, or layout issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and team members on process planning and plant setup best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards during plant setup and operation.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical.
• Minimum 810 years of experience in process planning, plant setup, or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA, APQP,PFMEA and tool design. BLDC Motor Process design
• Hands-on experience with machinery and equipment planning and layout.
• Proven track record in organizing plant machinery installation and commissioning.
• Excellent process documentation and project management skills.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Motor, BLDC, Induction motor - Stator Winding, Sun roof Motor, Traction Motor.
• Familiarity with CAD and process simulation tools.
• Knowledge of ERP/MES systems.
• Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certifications.
• Working Pattern: 6 days per week
