Job summary

Commvault is hiring a Senior Engineer- C++ to join our team in India. You will design and maintain core components for a scalable, high-performance storage platform, contribute to architecture discussions, and drive improvements across Linux/Windows environments.

Join a team that values clean code, rigorous testing, and collaboration. You will mentor engineers, participate in design reviews, and help deliver secure, reliable software in a distributed, micro-services-based context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 4+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience in C++ OO programming and Linux/Windows internals.
• Hands-on debugging and performance tuning in distributed systems.
• Exposure to micro-services, client-server and scalable architectures.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

The Opportunity

We have an outstanding career opportunity for Senior Engineer- C++ at Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune locations. In this role you will build scalable, high-performance enterprise software.

Who You Are…

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4 or more years of software development experience
• Strong experience in C++ Object oriented programming.
• Good understanding of Linux and Windows internals, including process, memory, storage, and networking concepts.
• Hands-on experience with debugging and troubleshooting tools such as gdb, WinDbg, ProcMon, Wireshark, tcpdump, or similar.
• Proven experience with crash dump analysis, memory leaks, handle leaks, deadlocks, race conditions, and performance tuning.
• Strong experience working with systems involving micro-services & service architecture, client-server architecture, and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Design, and Design Patterns.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and software development best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with a strong sense of ownership.
• Security and SaaS experience strongly preferred.
