Job summary

Akkodis in Bengaluru seeks a skilled Power Electronics Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced electronic products. You will work on MOSFET/IGBT drives, power converters, sensors, and motor control using high-performance MCUs/FPGA, with emphasis on EMI/EMC and thermal management.

The role requires hands-on experience with signal conditioning, testing, documentation, and collaborating across mechanical, software, and systems teams to deliver reliable, safe, and compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading power electronic product design and development projects.
• Knowledge of electronics product development from requirements to delivery.
• Strong fundamentals in semiconductor switches (MOSFET, IGBT), gate drivers, passives, ADC/DAC, filters, PCBs.
• Familiar with EMI/EMC considerations and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead power electronics design and development projects.
• Create test plans, procedures and reports.
• Update schematics and review PCB layouts (Mentor Graphics).
• Develop motor controllers using high-performance MCUs/FPGA.
• Ensure EMI/EMC and thermal management considerations are incorporated.

Job description

• Experience in leading power electronic product design and development projects
• Good knowledge on electronic product design and development process, from requirement till delivery.
• Strong fundamentals in Semiconductor switches (MOSEFT, IGBT), Gate drivers, Passive components, ADC/DAC, Filters, connectors, PCBs, Parasitic and magnetic components
• Fundamentals of electronics components, analog and digital circuits
• Hands on experience with any one of the Power converter design and analysis (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC, AC-AC).
• Good understanding of Sensors(Position, temperature, Gyro Sensor, RTD, Current sensor, Resolver, Motor Encoder etc), Solenoids, BLDC/PMSM motors, RL/Electronic loads & Dynamometers etc.
• Hands on experience Signal conditioning, OP Amp, Filters , ADC front end
• Hands on experience Schematics update using Mentor graphics and PCB design / Layout review
• Hands on experience with Power estimations, thermal management solutions and their implications on EMI/EMC (DO-160, MIL- STD-461/704)
• Experience in serial protocol such as CAN, I2C, SPI, UART, etc.
• Expert in using lab test equipment such as DMM, oscilloscope, data logger
• Hands on with writing test plans, procedures and reports
• Motor controller development using high performance microcontrollers/FPGA is preferred.
• Good Communication, document writing and Presentation skills.
