Job summary

PMech Consultant Pvt. Ltd is seeking a senior Electrical Engineer with 7+ years of experience in electrical design for EPC projects in India. You will review SLDs, perform sizing and design calculations, and ensure adherence to project specs.

The role requires coordinating with PMC, project teams, and vendors, supervising design engineers, and ensuring timely delivery of technical documentation. Strong understanding of electrical distribution, earthing, and protection schemes is essential.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical design and EPC projects.
• Experience reviewing SLDs, calculations, cable sizing, earthing and lighting layouts.
• Ability to approve drawings like cable schedules, vendor drawings, interconnection diagrams and MTO/BOQ.
• Strong coordination with PMC, project teams, and vendors.
• Supervising design engineers and managing man-hours for work scope.

Experience - 7+ Years

Responsibilities:

• Review Key technical documents, SLD, Power / Earthing / Lighting Layouts
• Review Calculations, Cable Sizing, Earthing, Lighting Lux Level, Transformer sizing, etc
• Approve documents such as Cable schedule, Vendor drawings, Interconnection diagrams and MTO/BOQ
• Supervise Work of Design Engineers to ensure quality and control man-hours& ensures man-hour allocation is adequate for the work scope
• Ensure task force team are totally aware of Job Spec requirement
• Preparation of Electrical Design Basis, Specifications & Departmental Procedures
• Co-ordinate with other disciplines to get inputs required for preparation of SLD, Area Classification drawing, Layouts & Transformer Calculations and Give inputs regarding Substation Layouts, Cable Layouts
• .Review MTO, Material Requisition and TBE
• .Review Vendor Drawings for Technical correctness and conformance to MR requirements
• .Review requirement of each package and define Scope of Engineering and Scope of Supply
• .Check Drawings &Calculations for Technical correctness and conformance to Project requirements
• .Interact with PMC Team, Project group, and within the electrical group
• .Interact with vendors, Client and External Agencies

Technical Required Skills

• Expertise in Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution Systems, including Load analysis and Protection schemes
• Expertise in control system design and implementation including feedback, control interlock & automation
• Sizing of various electrical equipment & switchgears
• Knowledge of CP system, Heat tracing system, HVAC system for technical evaluation of vendor specified designs. Ability to manage multiple projects, including timelines & resources with effective collaboration with other team
