Job summary

Buro Happold in Mumbai is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead hands-on electrical design for residential, commercial and hospitality projects. You will mentor engineers and drive design delivery from concept to tender, ensuring code compliance and sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years' experience in building services design engineering.
• Broad design knowledge from Concept to Tender Designing – through working on a wide range of projects using Indian codes.
• Domain expertise in codes and standards in your field.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to lead adoption of new analysis packages as required on your projects.
• A Bachelors degree BEng or Masters degree MEng in a relevant discipline.

• Represent Buro Happold at meetings with clients, professionals, and suppliers.
• Produce and review reports, presentations, models, and drawings to a high standard.
• Plan and manage input to Revit for production of design work.

Your next role

• Hands on design deliverables in electrical design typically in the Residential, Commercial and Hospitality sectors and leading a team of Engineers to deliver outcomes.
• Preparing and reviewing detailed calculations to validate design intent.
• Preparing and reviewing technical specifications and schedules and authoring design reports.
• Keeping our Leadership Team informed of important and relevant service/design decisions taken on your Projects with a view to how they align with the Project Scope and Objectives.
• Embrace technologies to improve performance and sustainability to meet to net zero targets by 2030.
• Ensure projects are carried out to an excellent standard, within agreed deadlines and budget.
• Represent Buro Happold at meetings with clients, other professionals, and suppliers.
• Produce and review reports, presentations, models, and drawings to an excellent standard, high level of accuracy and in a timely manner.
• Prepare technical specifications and schedules, design development reports and innovative design solutions.
• Plan and manage input to Revit for production of design work.
• Actively engage with colleagues across disciplines, in group discussions and at events and seminars.
• Mentor more junior team members, potentially leading to an early line management role.
• Autonomously represents Buro Happold to clients, architects and collaborators.

Your Skills And Experience
