Job summary

Black & White Engineering in Gurugram seeks an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical design for building services and mentor junior engineers. You will coordinate with local and global project teams and deliver designs to high standards.

The role requires strong technical capability, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across complex projects in a fast-growing consultancy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• Experience in electrical building services design within an engineering consultancy.
• Experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of LV electrical distribution, power, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and life safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design of building services projects from concept through construction.
• Prepare and review electrical calculations, reports, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with mechanical, public health, structural, architectural, and external stakeholders.
• Perform power system studies, load calculations, short circuit analysis, cable sizing, and protection coordination.
• Manage project deliverables, program milestones, and resource planning.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Carry out quality assurance and quality control reviews.
• Identify technical risks and develop practical engineering solutions.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers, supporting their technical development.
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical presentations where required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation across engineering teams.

The Role

Reporting to the Principal Electrical Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical engineering designs while working closely with both local and global project teams.

You'll be responsible for managing electrical design activities, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring technical excellence, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong technical capability, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across complex projects.
