Job summary

Buro Happold Limited in Pune seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across residential, commercial, mixed-use, infrastructure and hospitality projects. You will mentor engineers and deliver high-quality calculations, specs and reports while engaging with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes sustainable design, adherence to project scopes, and timely delivery within budget.

Your next role

• Hands on design deliverables in electrical design typically in the Residential, Commercial, Mixed Use, Big Infrastructure development, Aviation, and Hospitality sectors and leading a team of Engineers to deliver outcomes.
• Preparing and reviewing detailed calculations to validate design intent.
• Preparing and reviewing technical specifications and schedules and authoring design reports.
• Keeping our Leadership Team informed of important and relevant service/design decisions taken on your Projects with a view to how they align with the Project Scope and Objectives.
• Embrace technologies to improve performance and sustainability to meet to net zero targets by 2030.
• Ensure projects are carried out to an excellent standard, within agreed deadlines and budget.
• Represent Buro Happold at meetings with clients, other professionals, and suppliers.
• Produce and review reports, presentations, models, and drawings to an excellent standard, high level of accuracy and in a timely manner.
• Prepare technical specifications and schedules, design development reports and innovative design solutions.
• Plan and manage input to Revit for production of design work.
• Actively engage with colleagues across disciplines, in group discussions and at events and seminars.
• Mentor more junior team members, potentially leading to an early line management role.
• Autonomously represents Buro Happold to clients, architects and collaborators.

Your skills and experience

• 8-12 years' experience in building services design engineering;
• A broad design knowledge from Concept to Tender Designing - through working on a wide range of projects using Indian codes.
• Understanding of ELV, Fire alarm, low voltage systems and BMS system.
• Understanding of HT/LT – power distribution networks.
• Understanding about the transformer selection, DG selection, UPS selections, product approval process. Factory acceptance and Site acceptance tests etc.
• Domain expertise in codes and standards in your field.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A willingness to lead adoption of new analysis packages as required on your projects.
• A Bachelors degree BEng or Masters degree MEng in a relevant discipline.
