Job summary

Harita Techserv in Bengaluru seeks an experienced engineer to lead the design of electrical systems, low voltage control panels, and wiring harnesses. You will size and qualify components per UL/IEC and regulatory standards to ensure high reliability.

Collaborate with structural, electronics, software, lab and reliability teams to define system requirements and to drive cost-effective, high-quality designs. Work with supply chain for sourcing.

Qualifications

• Experience in Product Development and Electrical Systems development according to MRD/PRD/RR.
• Proficiency in electrical components: specification development, sizing, testing (functional & reliability), and analysis.
• Application development for LV Motor Starters and Controllers (X-Link, Star/Delta, Soft Starters, VFDs).
• Design and development of Low Voltage control panels and wiring harnesses.

Responsibilities

• Lead, and design/develop Electrical Systems, LV Electrical Control Panels, and Cable & Wiring Harnesses.
• Size, select, and qualify electrical components according to UL, IEC, and country requirements.
• Perform tradeoff analysis of circuits and components for performance, cost, quality and flexibility.
• Foster an environment conducive to innovation through analytical thinking.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop functional, reliability & qualification requirements and design.
• Work with Supply chain to source and evaluate purchased components and assemblies.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead, and design/develop Electrical Systems, Low Voltage Electrical Control Panels, and Cable & Wiring Harnesses.
• Size, select, and qualify electrical components according to UL, IEC, and country specific regulatory requirements.
• Perform tradeoff analysis of circuits and components regarding performance, low cost, high quality and design flexibility.
• Foster an environment conducive to innovation & change through strong analytical thinking.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (Structural, Electronics, Software, Lab, and Reliability) teams to develop system or component level functional, reliability & qualification requirements and design.
• Work closely with the Supply chain management team to source and evaluate / qualify the purchased components and assemblies.

Required Skills

• Experience in Product Development and Electrical Systems development according to the Marketing Requirement Document (MRD), Product Requirement Document (PRD), and Regulatory Requirements (RR).
• Proficiency in electrical components, including specification development, sizing & selection, testing (functional & reliability) and analysis, for the following components:
  • a. Electrical Components: Switchgear and Control components, Primary and secondary protection devices, Safety devices, Transformer, Relay, Connectors, Power Supply, Sensors, Transducers, and Switches.
  • b. LV Motors (AC Induction, Brush DC, BLDC, Stepper, Servo, Permanent Magnet).
  • c. Application development for LV Motor Starters and Controllers (X-Link, Star/Delta, Soft Starters, Variable Frequency Drives).
• Proficient in the design and development of Low Voltage control panel.
• Proficient in Product Level Electrical system design, Wiring & Harness Design.
