Job summary

Golden Opportunities is seeking a Senior EHS professional to design and oversee EHS policies and programs at the Bangalore site. The role focuses on hazard identification, risk control, and safety coaching to ensure regulatory compliance.

You will lead investigations, monitor safety KPIs, and drive environmental and fire safety initiatives while coordinating with site teams and contractors to uphold high EHS standards.

Qualifications

• Must develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and safety programs across the organization/site.
• Ensure compliance with applicable EHS statutory requirements, regulations, and standards.
• Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, near misses with root cause analysis and CAPA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct HIRA, JSA, risk assessments, safety inspections, and EHS audits.
• Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor EHS KPIs such as observations, incident rates, and near misses.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety training, and emergency drills.
• Ensure proper PPE, PTW, LOTO, and safe systems for working at height and confined spaces.
• Manage contractor safety and ensure compliance with EHS standards.
• Drive fire safety, emergency preparedness, and disaster management efforts.
• Oversee environmental compliance including waste management and emissions.
• Maintain EHS documentation and audit records.

• Lead investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses, including root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Monitor EHS performance indicators including safety observations, near misses, incident rates and other key EHS KPIs.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety training, awareness programs and emergency response drills.
• Ensure effective implementation of PPE, Permit to Work (PTW), LOTO, working-at-height and confined-space safety procedures.
• Manage contractor safety and ensure compliance with organizational/site EHS standards.
• Drive fire safety, emergency preparedness and disaster management initiatives.
• Monitor environmental compliance including hazardous waste, waste management, emissions and effluent management.
• Maintain EHS documentation, statutory registers, inspection reports, audit records and compliance reports.
