Job summary

Shapoorji Pallonji Group in Bengaluru seeks a Deputy General Manager (DGM) for Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) to lead enterprise EHS governance, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive safety across mega projects.

You will oversee risk management, multi-site teams, incident investigations, and board-level reporting, while building a strong safety culture and emergency readiness, reporting to the Regional Head South Zone.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical/Civil/Fire & Safety or equivalent.
• Post Diploma in Industrial Safety; OSHA 30/40, NEBOSH (preferred), ISO Lead Auditor certifications.

Responsibilities

• Governance: Set enterprise EHS policies & KPIs aligned with ISO 45001/14001/9001, OHSAS 18001; represent EHS at board/leadership reviews.
• Compliance: Ensure Factory Act, BOCW Act & regulatory compliance; liaise with authorities/auditors; maintain audit readiness.
• Risk Management: Oversee HAZOP, JSA, RCA, and CAPA implementation across sites.
• Team & Contractor Leadership: Build and scale multi-site EHS teams; manage contractor prequalification & safety performance systems.
• Emergency Preparedness: Design SOPs, mock drills, and crisis response protocols.
• Reporting: Present safety dashboards, incident trends & compliance status to leadership; drive BBS/safety culture programs.
