Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Karnal, India, is seeking a Dialysis Technician to operate haemodialysis machines and support patient care. You will set up, prime circuits, label lines, prepare dialysis solutions, and explain procedures to patients, ensuring safety and comfort.

Role requires 3–5 years of experience and a formal dialysis certification or related qualification; meticulous record-keeping and teamwork are essential assets.

Qualifications

• Certification in dialysis is required or related qualification.
• Minimum 3–5 years of dialysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates haemodialysis machine to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure
• Attach dialyser and tubing to machine and prime the extracorporeal circuits with saline
• Label dialyser & blood lines with patient name & ID prior to first use
• Preparing dialysis solutions and mixing bicarbonate according to formula
• Explains dialysis procedure and operation of haemodialysis machine to patient before treatment
• Connects haemodialysis machine to patient's access site to initiate dialysis
• Monitor haemodialysis machine for malfunction
• Maintain all the log books, forms & registers

Summary of the role:

• Sets up and operates haemodialysis machine to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure
• Attach dialyzer and tubing to machine and prime the extracorporeal circuits with 0.9% normal saline to prepare machine for use.
• Label dialyser & blood lines with patient name & ID prior to the first use (excluded single use).
• Preparing dialysis solutions and mixing bicarbonate according to formula
• Explains dialysis procedure and operation of haemodialysis machine to patient before treatment to allay anxieties.
• Connects haemodialysis machine to patient's access site to initiate dialysis.
• Monitor haemodialysis machine for malfunction.
• Maintain all the log books, forms & registers.
