Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Dialysis Technician to operate haemodialysis machines and deliver treatments in our facility in India. The role includes priming circuits, preparing dialysate, labeling patient lines, and ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures.

You will also monitor machines, document logs, and maintain registers, while communicating clearly with patients about the dialysis process and any required steps.

Qualifications

• Experience in setting up and operating dialysis machines.
• Ability to prime circuits and prepare dialysate.
• Maintain patient labeling, logs and procedure records.
• Explain dialysis procedures to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Monitor machines for malfunctions and ensure safety.
• Maintain all log books and registers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate haemodialysis machines to provide dialysis for patients.
• Attach dialyser and tubing, prime extracorporeal circuits with saline.
• Label dialyser and blood lines with patient name and ID.
• Prepare dialysis solutions and bicarbonate.
• Explain procedure to patient before treatment to allay anxieties.
• Connect machine to patient and initiate dialysis.
• Monitor machine for any malfunction and ensure safety.
• Maintain log books, forms and registers.

Summary of the role:

• Sets up and operates haemodialysis machine to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure
  • Attach dialyzer and tubing to machine and prime the extracorporeal circuits with 0.9% normal saline to prepare machine for use.
  • Label dialyser & blood lines with patient name & ID prior to the first use (excluded single use).
  • Preparing dialysis solutions and mixing bicarbonate according to formula
  • Explains dialysis procedure and operation of haemodialysis machine to patient before treatment to allay anxieties.
  • Connects haemodialysis machine to patient’s access site to initiate dialysis.
  • Monitor haemodialysis machine for malfunction.
  • Maintain all the log books, forms & registers.
